Learning to control the mind through meditation and in touch with nature

Control Your Mind

Control your mind, otherwise it will control your life. According to Buddha’s quote, “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.” By reading between the lines, there is no doubt that this sentence expresses the transformative potential of the mind. So, understanding it as a universe in expansion brings to the surface the discussion about the distorted reality and the useful contribution of your consciousness to change it.

Firstly, it’s worth stating that your mind is the result of the interpretation you have of your social construct. In times where obstacles and problems are described as inherent in life, your mind is put to the test. From this it follows that your thoughts create and maintain a solid  relation of pain and suffering with these challenges. This relation of submission is so deeply rooted in your character that you feel powerless to control your mind. For obvious reasons, this illusory perception is due to the attachment that material existence provides you with.

Bothersome though these adversities are, they, in no way, have power over you, unless you allow them. By working on yourself you can be able to improve your state of mind. Initially, it may be really hard as your mind is conditioned to certain paradigms which prevent you from changing your mindset.

One of my suggestions for you to take control of your mind is start practicing meditation.

What I usually hear from people is that they don’t feel comfortable, nor do they have time for it. In addition, they openly admit their lack of patience. Being so fraught with troubles and routine tasks blocks them from attempting to do it. If only they knew that this is the best medication for life, they would never refuse it.

Like any other activity, it requires part of your daily time. For this reason, giving a commitment is your great asset. In terms of strategical objectives, perseverance and hard work is all it takes to achieve progress. In order to do so, you can share your goal in small stages and increase the degree of difficulty bit by bit. Considering that you are a beginner, a five-minute meditation a day is enough. Remember to be consistent in this practice, even if you are not used to it. By dedicating and imposing rules on yourself you can establish a new way of life. After going through the first stage, you can demand a little more of yourself. This way, you can extend the time by five minutes every week. In doing so, you will become capable of reaching 30 or 40 minutes of meditation a day.

In a constant pace, your brain gradually develops neural pathways related to the experience, synchronizing this information with your body metabolism.

After getting through this process, your body has already incorporated the new habit into your daily life. Proof of this is that your brain will even remind you of taking the practice when you skip it.

According to Dr. Maxwell Maltz, an american cosmetic surgeon and author of Psycho-Cybernetics (1960), man takes roughly twenty one days to form a new habit. I, for one, believe that this transitional period is the hardest part of the process. Clearly, what happens is that the body inertia resists to adjust to a new rhythm. However, it’s just a matter of time and effort before you start a new cycle.

Control Your Mind And Your Body Will Respond Positively To It

To my mind, meditation and yoga are the building blocks of a healthier lifestyle. The former focuses on emptying and quietening the mind, whereas the latter deals with attention focused on different poses. Although these practices are different, both of them eliminate the stress in the mental faculties, resetting the mind. As a result, it becomes more active, alert and efficient. With its energy levels on top, your mind controls the metabolism of your body more easily. This makes you feel with a lot of stamina, which dissolves any inconvenient ailment. Moreover, your immune system becomes stronger against diseases.

Another fact to consider is that a mind working at its full capacity absorbs and processes information better. At this point, your interesting for reading increases, which opens the door to knowledge.

Specific Readings That Give You Wisdom And Teach You To Control Your Mind

There is a great variety of literature available for reading nowadays, but it’s necessary to be selective in your choice. Not all of them have something positive to tell you. With this in mind, if you are looking for a best counselor, give preference to books focused on life, success, mind and spirituality. Given that life unfolds and sometimes you don’t know what to do, you will learn so much from them. Since I started reading these books, my life has changed for the better.

With your best companions for life you program your mind with constructive beliefs.

Not only that, but you also start looking at everything from an analytical perspective. So, the facts of life as well as their differences don’t surprise you any longer. Getting a general understanding of life and mind is the propeller for the inner work. In this sense, you feel the need to review your virtues, actions and values. If you read the book “Reality Transurfing” by Vadim Zealand, you will comprehend how you can better build a reality with the Universe around you. From my point of view, this book gives you tips on how to consciously get ahead in life through a psychological and spiritual viewpoint. Also, the book “The Magic Of believing” by Claude Bristol, shows how you can use your thoughts and words to make positive things happen in your life.

Control Your Mind By Moving Your Body

Playing a sport, working out and dancing help you be in action, giving priority to your wellness. This way, even with life issues, you can demonstrate that you are your own master and have time for yourself. Also, you balance the positive and the negative energies out, regaining confidence and faith, the rewarding attributes for life. In summary, exercising regularly brings you to a more quiet and self-reflective state.

Why Being In Control Of Your Mind Is The Best Alternative?

Despite being ineffective in reversing an undesired circumstance, this behavior is highly contributive to your peace mentality. In not losing your sanity, you get strength to go through life accepting things you cannot change. After all, life is about dealing with ups and downs. By protesting and complaining about the inevitable you only contribute to your mental and spiritual defeat. In this case, words and reactions are nothing more than hate, sadness, fear and anger carriers. Like a whirlpool, your mind ends up attracting what doesn’t serve you. Such case creates a typical condition which makes you prone to attract low frequency thoughts of the same nature. Working like a favorite radio station, which invites you to tune in to it, the human mind works exactly the same way. Therefore, its frequency picks up on similar frequencies in order to foster it.

From my own experience, I can say that mind self-control is synonym of self-respect.

What I mean by this is that runaway feelings don’t lead my existence anymore. This way, I have learned that being in control of myself protects me against resorting to hasty decisions, impulsive actions and desperate attempts as options to make the circumstances work in my favor. In essence, I no longer allow myself to be the object of a mindset controlled by manipulative and deceptive emotions. Clearly, once I made a habit of being in my element, I noticed that I am the ruler of my soul, irrespective of the world traps. Remember that extreme feelings are the object of the ego mind, which is heavily dependent on reality to validate itself. Further, when they are uppermost in your mind, you lose your senses.

Most people have no idea that the body promptly responds to the subconscious mind. With a sound mind, you have no stress to bring you bitter feelings and release chemicals in your body. Likewise, there is no feeling of animosity towards anyone and energy drained due to worry or depression. Absence of reaction is your energy protection. I suggest you experiment with this attitude and you will see that life is a blessing.
